PHILADELPHIA - Temple finally got its young offense on track, scoring a goal in the closing minutes of the first half and regulation, to post a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Rider in the opening game of the Drexel Invitational Tournament at Vidas Field.

Freshman Brian Weinhardt headed home a crossing pass off the foot of sophomore J.T. Noone in the 43rd minute, ending a 243-minute scoreless streak to start the season, to tie the game at 1-1. Kevin Juska had opened the scoring for the Broncs just three minutes prior, putting home a loose ball in the box.

After a relatively even second half freshman Brian Henderson headed in a cross from senior David Suah for the game-winner at 87:03. Senior Tony Pratico earned the win, notching two saves in goal.

The Owls (1-1-1) next play Howard Sunday (noon) at Vidas Field.
