Morris Garners Second Big Five Player Of The Week Award

PHILADELPHIA- After leading Temple to two wins last week, Ashley Morris was named the Philadelphia Big Five Player of the Week for the week ending January 27. This is the second Big Five honor for Morris this season.
Morris had a tremendous performance in games at Richmond and Rhode Island. Against the Spiders, the 5-5 guard scored 22 points, including 17 in the second half, to help Temple to a come from behind win. She also led the Owls in scoring in their 48-34 victory over Rhode Island with nine points and a game-high five assists.
Morris is averaging a team-high 14.2 ppg and 3.8 apg in leading the Owls to an 11-10 overall record and 4-1 A-10 record. TU is currently 2-0 in Big Five play and will take on Saint Joseph's and LaSalle this week.
