George Washington jumped out to an early lead as Andy Staller scored on a long pass from Matt Scheer in the second minute of action. Three minutes later, Dave Leon scored unassisted on a free kick to put the Colonials up 2-0.
Facing a 3-0 deficit, J.T. Noone attemped to mount a rally for the Owls, scoring unassisted, his fourth goal of the season, in the 20th minute.
