Richmond, Va - The Men's Soccer team faced off at Atlantic 10 opponent Richmond on Sunday afternoon. The Cherry and White's efforts ended in a 0-0 draw with a physical Spider team. The Owls move to 6-4-3, 2-1-1 in the A-10, and Richmond to 2-9-2, 1-1-2.

Forward Kenechukwu Nwanah attempted to give the Owls offense a boost in the first half, registering two shots and one on goal. The Cherry and White posted seven shots in the first half, struggling to capitalize on their chances.

The second half was much the same for the Owls, posting two shots on goal, one of which by Sophomore Chas Chupein, who tallied three shots on the game. Owls keeper Bret Mollon kept the Spiders off the board by making one save in the period, forcing overtime.

In the first overtime, the Cherry and White pressured Richmond, allowing no shots on goal. Junior Mike Puppolo registered the only shot on goal of the period for either team.

Keeper Bret Mollon made his presence felt in the second overtime period, posting two saves on four shots faced, preventing the Spiders from scoring. Mollon's performance marks his sixth shutout of the season. The Cherry and White managed two shots, one sent wide by Junior J.T. Noone.

The Owls wrap up their season with a five game home-stand, squaring off next with city rival St. Joseph's at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 25th.
