KITTY HAWK, NC - Senior Kevin Busteed continued his strong play with a one-over 71 as the Temple golf team stands in 12th place after 18 holes at the Old Dominion/Seascape Invitational in Kitty Hawk, NC. He carded a 36-35 to tie for 15th place in the 76-player field.
Junior Eric Plisko is tied for 49th with senior Adam Pifer after each player recorded a six-over 77. Sophomore Sasha Bozic shot a seven-over 78 to tie for 53rd, while classmate Andrew Mason carded an 83 and is in 70th.
As a team, the Owls shot a 303 (+23), its highest score since shooting a 309 in the final round of the Adams Cup of Newport on Sept. 23. Despite the tough start, Temple is just 13 strokes out of the top five and 18 strokes behind the first roudn leader, Campbell (285, +15).
Campbell placed four players at 72 or better and leads second place Radford by two strokes. Elon (288) is in third, followed by USC Upstate (289) and host ODU (290).
George Washington's Cole Turner carded a three-under 67 to lead three players by one stroke at the par 70, 6,131-yard Seascape Golf Course on the Outer Banks.
