Eaddy Garners Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Preseason Honors

PHILADELPHIA Junior LaKeisha Eaddy was named to the Preseason Atlantic 10 Third Team as well as the All-Defensive Team, according to a poll conducted by the A-10 head coaches and select media. As a team, Temple was picked to finish fourth.
Eaddy returns as Temples top scorer, averaging 9.0 points per game and 2.8 assists per game. She also had a team-high 46 steals last season. A member of the A-10 2008 All-Defensive Team, the junior had six blocks and 51 defensive rebounds. In her two seasons as an Owl, Eaddy has compiled 98 career steals and is on track to finish in the Top 10 on the Cherry and Whites all-time steals list.
Temple (21-13) advanced to the 2008 NCAA Tournament, falling in the First Round to Arizona State. The 2008 A-10 regular season co-champions, the Owls earned their fourth #1 seed in the A-10 Championship but lost to Xavier by just five points in the Championship game.
