Volleyball Stays Undefeated In A-10 Play With 3-1 Victory At Duquesne

Pittsburgh, Pa.- The Temple volleyball team continued its dominating run, as it posted its fifth straight win, a 3-1 (25-22, 17-25, 26-24, 25-11) victory at Duquesne on Friday night. Senior Yun Yi Zhang posted a double-double with 25 kills and 11 digs for a stellar .420 hitting percentage. Cayleigh Ashman had 13 kills and just two errors for a .450 hitting percentage.
Ashman was nearly flawless when it came to serving, as the sophomore earned a career-high five service aces. Jackie Morrison dished 43 assists, while Ariel Pierre had a team-high 19 digs. Caitlin Loudon and Ashley Carr contributed 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
Though the Owls finished strong with a commanding 25-11 win in set four, the Dukes made the visitors earn every point throughout the match.
Temple improves to 11-6 overall and a perfect 4-0 in Atlantic 10 play. The Cherry and White next travel to Saint Louis to take on the Billikens on Sunday at 2 p.m.
