Plisko, Owls Lead Field After One Round At St. Bonaventure Invitational

OLEAN, NY - Junior Eric Plisko shot a even par 70 to help the Temple golf team lead after one round at the Leo Keenan Invitational, hosted by St. Bonaventure on Sunday at Barlett Country Club. Plisko shot a 36 on the front nine and followed it with a 34 on the back to lead Ottawa's Robert Mustard by a stroke.
As a team, the Owls (298, +18) hold a seven-stroke lead over Canisius and Ottawa with round two slated for Monday morning. Temple placed five players in the top 26 in the 73-player field.
Sophomore Sasha Bozic, competing as an individual, is tied for fifth after carding a three-over 37-36=73. Senior Adam Pifer recorded a 37-38=75 (+5) and stands tied for 14th, while sophomore Joseph Kim is tied for 20th with a 39-37=76 (+6).
Senior Kevin Busteed (T-26th, 41-36=77, +7) and sophomore Andrew Mason (T-43rd, 42-38=80, +10) rounded out the Owls scorecard.
Temple is the top Atlantic 10 team in the field, ahead of Duquesne (4th), St. Bonaventure (5th), Dayton (6th) and La Salle (14th). Play resumes at the par-70, 6,308-yard course at Barlett CC.
