In the Owl's 4-2 win over #22 Dayton on Friday, junior midfielder J.T. Noone posted a goal and two assists. Noone led the charge in the Cherry and White's first win over a ranked opponent since October 19, 2003, and first-ever win over a ranked opponent at Ambler Sports Complex. Noone capped off the weekend on Sunday with another two-assist performance, propelling the Owls past Xavier, 4-1.
Noone's assists on Friday enabled him to surpass the school record for assists in a single season, formerly held by Tony Donatelli (9, 2004). The Harrisburg, Pa. native currently leads the Atlantic 10 in assists with 12, and is ranked second nationally. He ranks third in the A-10 in points with 24.
Noone, who was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District team, has helped lead the Owls to their best start (9-4-3, 5-1-1 in A-10 play) since 2003, with the team currently tied for second in the conference.
