Scott Koskoski Named Associate AD at Temple

PHILADELPHIA - Scott Koskoski has been named the Associate Director of Athletics for Development at Temple University. The Pennsylvania native most recently served as the assistant athletics director for development at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

"We are excited to have Scott join the Temple Athletics' staff," Temple University Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw said. "Scott is dynamic, has great energy, and is a proven professional with nearly a decade of experience in athletics development."

At Temple, Koskoski will be responsible for all aspects of the Athletics Department's development efforts, including the Owl Club organization.

"Temple is a world-class institution, featuring a championship-caliber athletics department with dynamic leadership and talented student-athletes. I am genuinely excited about every aspect of the job, particularly the opportunity to engage the community while working to enhance the resources of the Temple athletics program."

At UTC, Koskoski provided management for all athletics development operations while implementing a restructured comprehensive plan. In addition to cultivating and soliciting a major gifts portfolio, he secured several transformational gifts to athletics prior to his departure to Temple.

Before joining the staff at UTC, Koskoski worked at James Madison University where he served as director of the JMU Duke Club for one year before being promoted in April 2007 to assistant athletics director for the Duke Club and Marketing. While at JMU, he coordinated and planned all Duke Club activities in support of generating all athletics' giving.

In 2007, Koskoski successfully increased athletics' giving to 37 percent above the University's budgeted goal and 21 percent above the previous year's then-record total. On the marketing side, Koskoski's staff produced a record amount of cash and corporate partnerships in 2007.

Prior to his arrival at James Madison, Koskoski worked as the assistant athletics director for marketing at Niagara University from June 2005 to July 2006.He spent three years at Washington and Jefferson College, serving as associate director of athletics for development, associate director of annual giving and director of Student Life.

Koskoski's career in athletics administration began in June 2000 when he served as assistant sports marketing and information director at Robert Morris University.

Koskoski is a 2000 graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa., with a degree in communications. As a senior, the Dean's List student won the inaugural Alumni Spirit Award and the Communications' Department Scholarship Award for the highest grade-point average. In 1998 he was the recipient of the Pennsylvania Campus Compact Service Award, given to the collegiate volunteer of the year. A native of Fairview, Pa., he earned his master's degree in Sport Management in 2002 from Robert Morris. Koskoski is a life inductee into the National Society of Distinguished Collegians.

Koskoski is a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD), and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). A participant in the 2008 NACDA Mentoring Institute, Koskoski served as the chair of the Southern Conference Development Directors.
