Wallace Named Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Co-Player Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA-After posting a 26-point performance against Villanova on Saturday, sophomore Shaqwedia Wallace was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week. This is the first Conference honor for the sophomore, who leads the Owls in scoring with 13.3 ppg.

Wallace scored a career-high 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting, including 22 (a career-high) in the second half, in Temple's lone game of the week against Villanova on Dec. 20. She netted 22 of Temple's total 33 second-half points to get her team within four points with three and a half minutes to play. Wallace also dished a game-high three assists and was perfect from long range (3-of-3), while adding four rebounds and a steal.
