PHILADELPHIA- The women's basketball team (4-2) continues its grueling home stand with its fourth game in nine days, hosting the Florida State Seminoles (6-2) on Sunday at 2 p.m. Today's game can be heard live on WPHT 1210 AM with Kristen Foley and Joe Heyer calling all the action. This is the third meeting between Temple and Florida State. The series is tied, 1-1, with the Owls taking the last meeting, 72-67, on December 29, 1995.

Scouting the Owls
Temple claimed its fourth win on the season with a 65-29 victory over Dartmouth on Wednesday. After the Big Green took an early 10-4 lead, the Owls then went on a 23-0 run, holding the Ivy Leaguers scoreless over an eight-minute period. During that stretch, Shaqwedia Wallace had eight points, including two treys, while Shenita Landry eight points in the paint. The host Owls held an 18-point lead at intermission, 36-18. In the second half, TU held Dartmouth to just 11 points while building its lead to 36 points. Wallace led the Owls with 18 points, including a career-high four buckets from three-point range. Landry followed with 14 points and eight rebounds, while senior Shanea Cotton added 11 points and a team-high nine boards.

Cotton and Landry lead four Owls in double figures with 13.3 ppg. Wallace is next with 11.2 ppg, while LaKeisha Eaddy is fourth with 10.8 ppg and a team-high 27 assists. Landry has grabbed a team-high 9.7 repg.

Scouting the Seminoles
Florida State defeated visiting Penn State 73-60 Wednesday night as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. After allowing 12 fast-break points in the first half, the Seminoles dug their heels in and didn't allow another easy Lady Lions basket in the game's final 20 minutes. Three players scored in double figures as Jacinta Monroe led the team with 18 points, five rebounds and four blocks. Cierra Bravard added 15, while Alysha Harvin provided a spark off the bench with a season-high 14-point performance.

Monroe leads two Seminoles in double figures with 16 ppg and a team-high 7.8 ppg. Bravard is second with 13.3 ppg. Courtney Ward has dished a team-high 29 assists.

Fantastic Four
Temple has the most balanced scoring attack that it has had in quite a long time. Four players are averaging in double-figures, proving that shutting down one player will just draw fire from three other weapons. Shanea Cotton and Shenita Landry are tied at the top with 13.3 ppg, while Shaqwedia Wallace is next with 11.2 ppg. LaKeisha Eaddy is fourth with 10.8 ppg.

Philadelphia Barrage
With the introduction of Tonya Cardoza's new offensive schemes, the Owls have increased their scoring average by nearly 10 points from last season.  Temple averaged 59.6 ppg last season, while holding their opponents to 56.1 ppg. This season, the Owls are averaging 69.3 ppg and holding opponents to 56.7 ppg. The Cherry and White have outscored their six opponents by 12.7 points.
