Williams Garners Third A-10 Track Rookie Of The Week Honor

PHILADELPHIA - For the third time this season, Temple freshman Paris Williams has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Indoor Track Rookie of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. Williams ran the A-10's fastest time in the 500m (1:13.83) and helped the 4x400 relay to a season-best time this weekend at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational.
Williams finished fourth in the 500m and bettered her ECAC qualifying time in the event. She also ran a leg of the 4x400 relay that finished third with an ECAC-qualifying time of 3:49.66.
The Aberdeen, MD native also earned A-10 Rookie of the Week honors on December 10 and January 21.
Temple returns to action on Saturday at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship, hosted by the University of Rhode Island.
