Women's Gymnastics Places Fourth at Penn Quad-Meet

PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore Nina Oteri scored a team-high sixth place finish on the balance beam to lead the Temple women's gymnastics at the cross-town Penn Quad-Meet.
Despite the efforts of Oteri, the Cherry and White (6-13) finished fourth in the four team event with a score of 190.150. North Carolina State took home first place with a score of 195.075, besting Towson (193.475) and host Penn (192.125).
Oteri scored a 9.675 on the balance for a sixth place finish, leading the Cherry and White indiviudal performers. Oteri also had the highest floor score for the Owls (9.600). Senior Natasha Crawford scored a 38.150 in the all-around.
The Owls are back in action on Thursday when they travel to West Chester. Action is slated ot begin at 6:00 p.m.
