Williams Leads Owls At ECAC Championship

BOSTON, MA - Freshman Paris Williams finished third in the 500m (1:13.85) to lead Temple to a 33rd place finish at the ECAC Championship this weekend at Boston University. The meet marks the conclusion of the indoor season for the Owls, who open their outdoor campaign on March 22 at Towson.
Junior Devon DuPont finished eighth in the pentathlon (2649 points) and sophomore Brittney McRae was 15th in the 60m hurdles (8.90).
Junior Amanda Cole placed 11th in the weight throw (52-11) and the 4x400 relay of junior Carlleen Allison, senior Cheryl Anscombe, freshman Assata Cowart and Williams finished 13th (3:50.97).
Connecticut won the team event with 60.5 points, followed by Seton Hall, Syracuse (47), Boston College (40) and George Mason (36). Temple (seven points) finished third among A-10 teams behind La Salle (19) and Rhode Island (16).
