Men's Tennis Loses to Muskateers

Today was Senior Day on North Broad Street but the Owls fell short against Xavier. Temple got wins from the only senior on the team, Zach Tobias, and junior Eduardo Saavedra. The loss brings the overall record for Temple to 4-12 while Xavier improved to 12-8.
The Owls lost all three doubles matches in the Atlantic 10 encounter. Senior co-captain Zach Tobias was able to get a 6-3, 6-2 win against Brian Schubert of Xavier. Junior Eduardo Saavedra won his match on a third set tie-break, 10-8.
Head coach Steve Mauro was proud of his only senior's performance yesterday and throughout the season, "Zach Tobias has put in a lot of hard work and dedication for the program. He had a great performance today and got a good win for us."
The Owls will play tomorrow at the Temple Pavilion. The match against the Rams of Fordham will begin at 5:00 p.m.
