Women's Gymanastics Sweeps West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA - The Temple women's gymnastics team put on one of its best performances of the season, besting host West Chester 188.350-171.525 on Thursday evening at Sturzebecker Health Science Center on the campus of West Chester. The Owls won all four events and had the top four finishers in each category.
Junior Christine McNeill finished first in both the vault (9.725) and the uneven parallel bars (9.750) to the lead the way for the Cherry and White. Sophomore Nina Oteri continues her string of impressive performances, finishing first on the balance beam (9.650). Senior Desiree Meredith, who will be competing in her final home event on Saturday, finished first in the floor exercise (9.500).
The wins helps to build momentum for the Cherry and White (7-13), as they prepare for their final home meet of the season on Saturday at 1p.m. against Cornell.
