Golf Finishes 19th At Cavalier Classic

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Temple golf team carded a two-round score of 311-315=626 (+50) to finish 19th at the Cavalier Classic, hosted by the University of Virginia, this weekend at Birdwood Golf Course. Junior Paul Amess led the Owls with a 73-79=152 (+8) to tie for 44th in the 110-player field.
Freshman Sasha Bozic was a shot back of Amess with a 73-80=153 (+9) to finish in a tie for 51st. Freshman Joseph Kim tied for 83rd with a 81-78=159 (+15).
Freshman Andrew Mason (87-78=165, +21) and sophomore Eric Plisko (84-82=166, +22) placed 99th and 100th, respectively.
The host Cavaliers won the event with a score of 282-293=575 (-1), edging Augusta State by three strokes. Augusta State's Henrik Norlander won the individual title with a 71-68=139 (-5).
Temple will travel to Winter Garden, FL this weekend for the Atlantic 10 Championship. The 54-hole tournament begins on Friday at Orange County National Golf Course.
