Women's Track Competes At ECACs

PRINCETON, NJ - Junior Amanda Cole finished eighth in the hammer throw (173-9) to lead the individual performances at the ECAC Championship this weekend at Princeton University. The 4x400 placed fourth (3:47.13) and the 4x800 was fifth (9:03.30) to lead an impressive showing in the relays.
Temple also had several competitors in the short spirnts. Senior Cheryl Anscombe was 15th in the 200m (24.47) and 17th in the 400m (55.54), while junior Carlleen Allison was also 15th in the 400m (55.41).
Freshman Paris Williams finished 21st in the 400m (56.08), while classmate Assata Cowart was 19th in the 400m hurdles (1:03.39).
The 4x100 relay placed 27th (54.91) to round out the relays.
Temple finished 28th with 10 points in the field of 47 teams. Connecticut won the event with 83 points over second-place Virginia (53).
