Temple Athletics Receives Publications Awards

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple Sports Media Relations staff was honored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for "Excellence in Publications" at the 51st annual CoSIDA convention in Tampa last week.
Temple earned nine Top 20 national finishes in media guide design and content. Kevin Bonner and Aimee Cicero earned "Best Cover" for the 2007-08 women's basketball guide. Bonner and Larry Dougherty earned "Third in the District" honors for the field hockey guide.
Also among the nation's best were the 2007 football media guide which finished seventh, and the men's gymnastics and field hockey guides which each finished 10th.
Rounding out the Owls' Top 20 were the women's gymnastics guide (11th), the men's and women's track and field guide (12th), the tennis guide (12th), the rowing guide (17), and the men's golf guide (19th).
The Temple SMR staff is comprised of associate AD Larry Dougherty, special assistant to the AD Al Shrier, associate director Kevin Bonner, associate director Cathy Bongiovi, assistant director Aimee Cicero, and graduate externs Mark Anskis and Kelly Yemm.
