Temple Media Relations Staffers Earn Promotions

PHILADELPHIA - Kevin Bonner and Aimee Cicero of the Temple University Sports Media Relations staff have been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations and Associate Director for Media Relations, respectively.
Bonner, in his fifth year on the Owls athletic staff, will continue to coordinate the athletic publications and handle the media relations of the Temple baseball team, but will now also oversee the administration of the University's golf program. He will also work in tandem with the athletic department's marketing and development staff in the planning and coordination of department initiatives.
The 2002 Elizabethtown College graduate and native of Pitman, NJ (Pitman HS) came to Temple in 2004 after working two years in the Saint Joseph's University Sports Media Relations Office. Nine of his 2007-08 media guides earned were ranked among the Top 25 nationally by CoSIDA with the 2007 Temple Football Media Guide earning seventh in the country.

Cicero, in her fourth year at Temple, will continue to be responsible for the media relations of the University's women's basketball, women's lacrosse, women's soccer and volleyball programs. The Lansdowne, PA native (Penn Wood HS) came to the Temple after serving two years on the sports media relations staff at Drexel University, where she earned a master's degree in public communications in 2004.
A 2001 graduate of American University, Cicero also worked on the Eagles' staff as a student assistant before serving one year on the media relations staff at Georgetown University. Her 2007-08 Temple women's basketball media guide earned Best Cover in the Nation, as did her 2006 field hockey media guide.
