PHILADELPHIA - The Temple offense came out firing on all cylinders, netting two goals in the first 10 minutes of Sunday afternoon's match with Penn at Rhodes Field. The Quakers, however, rebounded with two goals to forge a 2-2 tie. The Owls improved to 4-3-1 while the Quakers remain unbeaten at 5-0-3.

Senior James Suevo headed home a pass off a corner kick from fellow senior Matt Chevrollier to open the scoring in the third minute of play. Freshman Tyler Witmer, who continues to fuel the Cherry and White attack, netted his team-leading fifth goal of the season just four minutes later to give the Owls a 2-0 advantage.

Penn answered at the end of the half when Mike Klein blasted a shot from outside the box past Owls' keeper Bret Mollon in the 41st minute. Mollon made eight saves on the game.

The Quakers tied the game in the 55th minute on a long throw from Zach Barnett that was headed home by Ryan Porch.

Temple will wrap up its non-conference portion of its schedule next Saturday, October 4th, when they travel to Farleigh Dickenson.
