Cotton Garners Second Big Five Player Of The Week Honor

PHILADELPHIA After helping Temple to its second Big Five win of the season, senior Shanea Cotton was named the Big Five Co-Player of the Week for the week ending January 11. This is the second Big Five honor of the year for Cotton, who leads Temple with 12.9 ppg.
Cotton averaged 12.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg in two games this week, leading the Owls to a 1-1 week. Against #5 Duke, Cotton had a game-high 18 points, including 16 of TU's 30 total second half points, and added six rebounds. She shot 60% from the field (6-10). Cotton helped the Owls open A-10 play with a win against Saint Josephs with seven points, two steals and nine rebounds to finish the week with a 47.4% shooting clip.
