Women's Gymnasts Canning and Troutman Win ECAC Awards

PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore Katie Canning was named the ECAC Gymnast of the Week and sophomore Chelsea Troutman was awarded the ECAC Coaches' Choice Award following their outstanding performances at the George Washington Invitational.

Canning, a native of Billerica, Mass., finished in third place in the all-around (38.200), balance beam (9.600) and vault ( 9.7500) to lead the Cherry and White at the George Washington University Invitational over the weekend.

Troutman, recovered from a injury redshirt season to finish fourth in the all-around (38.000) and took ninth on uneven parallel bars (9.600).

The Owls (2-3) are back in action this Friday when they travel to Ursinus. Action is slated for 6:00 p.m.
