Temple out-rebounded Central Michigan, 42-34, as it improved to 12-2 all-time against Mid-American Conference teams.

She also made quite an impact on the defensive end of the ball, collecting three steals. The Owls shot 48.5% from the field, including nearly 47% from long range, and out-rebounded the Chippewas, 25-16.

Kristen McCarthy's jumper at 19:42 started a 4-0 TU run but the Chippewas soon caught up with an 8-0 run to make it 8-4 at 15:30. After a hot start, the Owls seemed to fall apart, committing multiple turnovers and taking bad shots. Eaddy finally broke the five minute scoring drought with a lay-up at 13:48 but CMU answered with a 6-0 run to keep the Chippewas on top, 14-6 by the 12 minute mark. Wallace then put the team on her back, pulling her team out of its funk with her own 11 point run to give Temple a 17-14 lead at 9:30. Wallace continued to hit, sinking yet another three-pointer at 7:13, and sparking an 11-0 TU run to put Temple on top, 28-16 at 5:20. The Owls continued to roll, taking as much as a 14point lead before going into the locker room with a 39-27 lead.

Temple couldn't miss in the second half and Central Michigan couldn't buy a shot, as the Cherry and White made as many as 64% of their shots. CMU started off the second stanza with a basket to cut the lead to 10 points (39-29) at 18:58 but the Owls responded with a 5-0 run to make it 44-29 at the 17 minute mark. The Chippewas got only as close as 13 points before Temple responded with a 6-0 run to take a 50-31 lead with just under 15 minutes to play.  Temple continued to roll and Kimmel trey at 10:18 gave the Owls a 24 point lead (59-35), their largest of the game at that point. Central Michigan was only able to get as close as 19 points as the Owls coasted to the 80-58 win.

Angel Chan led the Chippewas with 21 points, while Kaihla Szunko had 13. The Chippewas shot just 31.8% from the field.

Temple returns home to face Dayton on Saturday at 3:30 in the first game of a men's and women's doubleheader.
