Former Owl Lamont Ferrell To Appear On The Office

PHILADELPHIA - Former Temple men's basketball letterwinner Lamont Ferrell, who played on the 1988-89 team, will guest star on this Sunday's episode of the NBC hit show, The Office. The post Super Bowl episode, entitled "Stress Relief," will also co-star comedian Jack Black and Emmy Award winner Cloris Leachman.
Ferrell has had success in Hollywood as a writer. He wrote five episodes of the TBS sitcom "House of Payne," over the past two years and also had written for "Girlfriends," "Moesha" and "The Parent `Hood'".
He appeared in seven games for John Chaney's 1988-89 team. A native of Yeadon, Pa. (Penn Wood HS), Ferrell graduated from Temple in 1991.
The Office is an Emmy-Award winning comedy based on the everyday lives of employees at the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pa. It stars Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer and airs weekly on NBC.
