PHILADELPHIA – The Temple football team will be featured during this week's segment of Wednesday's Child to air on NBC10 on Wednesday, Oct. 21 during the 5 p.m. news.
Hosted by sports anchor Vai Sikahema, Wednesday's Child helps seek adoptive homes for children in foster care. This week's segment features nine-year old Terrence, an avid football fan, and his day with the Temple football team.
The segment will re-air on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 9 a.m. and will be available online at www.NBCPhiladelphia.com.
The Wednesday's Child program is sponsored by the Freddie Mac Foundation. The Wednesday's Child program started in Washington, D.C., in 1992, a partnership with NBC4 and the Council of Governments. Its phenomenal success encouraged the Freddie Mac Foundation to expand the program nationwide.
Riding a four-game winning streak, Temple football (4-2, 3-0 MAC) travels to Toledo on Saturday, Oct. 24 for a 7 p.m. game at the Glass Bowl.
