Filip Rams In Singles Action at ITA/Wilson Regional Championship

NORFOLK, Va. - One day after teaming up with his brother Kacper to nearly upset the fourth-ranked doubles team in the country, Temple's Filip Rams took his turn at singles play in the ITA/Wilson Regional Men's Tennis Championship. The tournament is being held at Old Dominion's Folkes-Stevens Indoor Tennis Center October 22 through October 26.
Rams, who received a bye in the first round of singles action, faced Banjamin Chomette of the host school in his first match, defeating the Monarch 6-2, 7-6(7). The sophomore moved on against eighth-seeded Drew Courtney of Virginia, dropping a 6-3, 6-2 decision.
Kacper Rams will be competing in the consolation singles round on Saturday.
The Temple Owls are also competing at the Lehigh Fall Tennis Championships in Bethlehem this weekend. Play begins Saturday, October 24.
