Andrew Mason leads Owls with 75
KITTY HAWK, NC-- For the first time all fall season senior Eric Plisko did not card the best round of golf for Temple, but the Owls proved they were not a one-man team with a sixth-place showing at the first round of the 30th Annual ODU/Seascape Collegiate Tournament. Led by junior Andrew Mason's round of 75, the Cherry and White trailed leader Old Dominion by 10 strokes in a day that was marred by very windy and damp Conditions.
Mason, who was tied for 10th, was followed by redshirt freshman Devin Bibeau (76, t-21st), Plisko (78, t-30th), junior Joseph Kim (79, t-40th) and freshman Alex McPherson (86, t-67th).
ODU placed three golfers in the top ten with Eric Onesi leading the field by four strokes with a 69.
ODU (298) was followed by George Washington (300), Longwood (304), Penn (305), Towson (307), Temple, George Mason (309), Hartford (310), USC Upstate (310), Elon (312), Radford (313), Delaware (315), Drexel (320) and Saint Joseph's (324).
The final round is Tuesday.
