Owls conclude fall season with 11th place finish
KITTY HAWK, NC – Temple's Andrew Mason was the top finisher for the golf team as the junior was able to shoot an even-par 70 in the second round of the 30th Annual ODU/Seascape Collegiate Tournament to finish tied for sixth overall (75-70, 145). Mason finished nine strokes back from first place finisher, Eric Onesi of Old Dominion, who shot a four-under 136 (69-67) to win by two strokes.
Despite shooting 303 on the second day, compared to 308 on the first day, the Owls dropped in the overall team standings from sixth to eleventh to finish with a two-day score of 611. Devin Bibeau (76-78, 154 t-43rd), Joseph Kim (79-76, 155, t-46th), Eric Plisko (78-79, 157, t-55th) and Alex McPherson (86-80, 166, t-69th) rounded out the scores for the Cherry and White.
Old Dominion finished as the top team in the two-day tournament (298-286, 584) with George Washington (300-288, 588), Penn (305-284, 589), George Mason (309-283, 592) and Longwood University (304-289, 593) rounding out the top five teams.
Temple finished ahead of Elon University (312-300, 612) as well as city rivals Drexel (327-289, 616) and Saint Joseph's (324-319, 643).
The Owls have now concluded the fall portion of their schedule and will take some time off before returning to action for the spring season.
