Individual Temple Basketball Game Tickets On Sale Thursday

National powers headline both home slates
PHILADELPHIA – Individual game tickets for the 2009-10 Temple University men's and women's basketball teams go on sale Thursday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the Liacouras Center Box Office. Individual game tickets will also be available for purchase online at www.OwlsTix.com or by calling 1-800-298-4200.
Coming off consecutive Atlantic 10 Conference championships, the Temple men's team will host 14 home games, 13 at the Liacouras Center, and one, Dec. 28 vs. Bowling Green, at McGonigle Hall in a “Turn Back the Clock” event. Visits from 2009 NCAA Final Four participant Villanova (Dec. 13) and 2008 National Champion Kansas (Jan. 2) highlight the Liacouras Center slate.
Siena serves as the home opener for fourth-year head coach Fran Dunphy's Owls on November 21. That game is part of the Philly Hoop Group Classic. There will also be four doubleheaders with the Temple women's team under the direction of second-year head coach Tonya Cardoza.
The men's team will open the home portion of its A-10 schedule against Saint Joseph's on January 6 and the conference slate also includes visits by perennial league powers Dayton and Xavier.
The women's team, which has advanced to the NCAA Tournament the past six seasons, opens its season at McGonigle Hall against Illinois on November 13. It is one of 14 home games for the Owls. The team will split its schedule, playing seven contests at McGonigle Hall and seven at the Liacouras Center. National powers Auburn (Nov. 17) and Duke (Dec. 31) will also travel to Philadelphia to face the Cherry and White.
Single-game tickets for Temple men's basketball games range from $10-35 while special premium prices ($25-$35) will be in place for the Kansas and Villanova games. The Bowling Green game will have a special $9 ticket price. Temple women's basketball games are priced from $5-7 per ticket.
Full and partial season tickets are also on sale now for the 2009-10 Temple men's and women's basketball season. Partial season ticket or Flex Plans for the men's season includes the option of either the Kansas or Villanova game, plus three games of your choice. Lower level Flex Plan seats are $80. Upper level Flex Plan seats are $55.
