Women's Cross Country Improves At A-10 Championships

Mims Owls' top finisher for third consecutive year

St. Louis, MO – The Temple women’s cross country team took a 13th place overall finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships, Saturday morning in St. Louis. Junior Rebecca Mims again lead the way for the Owls, placing 42nd.

Mims improved her finish from a year ago when she took 75th, and for the third straight year was the Cherry and White’s top finisher.

Following Mims was freshman Diedre MacFarland, placing 43rd.

“Our team improved significantly from last year, even though our overall finish was the same,” commented head coach Eric Mobley. “Having two top-50 placers was big for our women, everyone ran well and improved their times.”

Other solid finishes were had by sophomore Eva Sepulveda (80th), junior Assata Cowart (84th) and freshman Katherine Frank (86th).
