Senior midfielder repeats as first team honoree
PHILADELPHIA – For the second consecutive season, Temple University senior midfielder J.T. Noone has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Men's Soccer Academic All-District 2 University Division First Team. The team is voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Noone will now be placed on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America ballot.
An economics major, Noone has earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.70 for his college career, making the Dean's List every semester as well as the Atlantic 10 Conference Honor Roll. Last season, Noone became the fifth Owl in Temple history to earn first team Academic All-America honors.
The Harrisburg, Pa. native (Central Dauphin) has continued to make history through his four years as an Owl. Already the Temple single-season assist leader (13), Noone broke the all-time record this year, now owning 26 career dishes.
This season, Noone currently leads the team and conference with seven assists, ranking second on the team in points with 11.
The Cherry and White (8-6-2, 3-3-1 in A1-0 play) finish their season at home this weekend, taking on Saint Louis on November 6th (2:00 p.m.) and #15 Charlotte on November 8th (Senior Day, 1:00 p.m.).
