Senior netted game-winner on penalty kick to upset 15th-ranked Charlotte
PHILADELPHIA – For the third time this season, Temple men's soccer senior midfielder J.T. Noone earns Soccer Six Player of the Week honors. Called on to take a penalty kick just before half, Noone ripped a shot top right to give the Owls a 2-1 win over 15th-ranked Charlotte on Senior Day.
The final goal of Noone's career came in a big way, giving the Owls their first win over a ranked opponent since upsetting Dayton last season, 4-2. The win also marks the highest-ranked opponent the Cherry and White have defeated under current head coach David MacWilliams.
The Harrisburg, Pa. (Central Dauphin) native concludes the season with three goals and seven assists for 13 points. For the third straight year, he finishes with the team lead in assists.
