Canning Named ECAC Gymnast of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore Katie Canning of the Temple women's gymnastics team has been named the ECAC Co-Gymnast of the Week, the organization announced today. This is the second time this season that Canning has been named Gymnast of the Week. She shared the honor with Lindsey Poplaski of Towson.
At No. 16 West Virginia, Canning hit 4-for-4 and earned third place in the all-around with a 38.75. Not only was this a career high all-around score for Canning, but she also earned a career high on uneven bars with a 9.575. Her all-around performance helped the Owls earn a season-high score of 191.625.
