PHILADELPHIA- The Temple women's basketball team (18-8, 9-3 A-10) puts its home conference winning streak on the line when it hosts the #13 Xavier Musketeers (24-4, 12-0 A-10) in a Wednesday night battle. The game, which tips off at 7 p.m. and can be heard live on 1210 AM WPHT, ends the 2008-09 home season for the Owls and will be Shenita Landry and Shanea Cotton's last game in the Liacouras Center. The duo will be honored in a pre-game ceremony.

Home Conference Cooking
The Owls have won 20 straight home Atlantic 10 games and have lost just one, a 55-50 overtime game to George Washington (2/24/06), since the 2003-04 season. Temple is 42-1 during that stretch.

Senior Night
Seniors Shenita Landry and Shanea Cotton will be honored in a pre-game ceremony due to Temple's senior night festivities. Landry has helped the Owls to an 88-37 record and three NCAA Tournaments during her time on North Broad. Cotton, a junior college transfer, has been part of 39 wins and one NCAA Tourney.

Against Ranked Teams
Temple is 11-82 all-time against ranked teams and 1-42 against those ranked in the the Top 10. Last season the un-ranked Owls knocked off two teams in the Top 25. The Cherry and White pulled off a 68-66 upset of #13 George Washington and defeated #20/22 Purdue, 61-47.

Series Record
This is the 19th meeting between Temple and Xavier with Xavier leading the series, 10-8. The teams last played on March 10, 2008 in the A-10 Championship game and Xavier edged Temple, 47-42.

Scouting the Owls
Temple held off a feisty Richmond team, rallying to a 65-52 win on Saturday at the Liacouras Center. LaKeisha Eaddy led Temple with 21 points. Senior Shenita Landry followed with 12 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the 13th double-double of her career. Senior Shanea Cotton finished with nine points and three blocks. Sophomore Shaqwedia Wallace also had nine points. McCarthy tied the game with a jumper, 28-28, to open the second half. UR never led again. Temple utilized a series of runs, including a 10-2 clip, and stellar defense to pull ahead by double digits. The Owls led by as many as 15 points before claiming the 13-point victory.

Landry leads four Owls in double figures with 12.5 ppg and a team-high 9.6 rpg, while Wallace and Cotton and Eaddy are all tied with 11.4 ppg. Eaddy has dished a team-high 141 assists thus far this season.

Scouting the Musketeers
Tudy Reed recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Ta'Shia Phillips added 15 points as Xavier escaped Saint Louis with a 70-67 victory on Saturday. Jerri Taylor added 13 points, going 4-of-9 from deep. Saint Louis led by three points, 64-61, after Theresa Lisch buried a 3-pointer at the two-minute mark.
