Cole Named A-10 Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week

PHILADELPHIA -For the second time this season, Amanda Cole has been named Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week, the conference announced today this afternoon. Cole recorded a third place toss of 60-05.25 in the weight throw this weekend at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational, extending her school record and narrowly missing NCAA provisional standards.
Cole, who was recently named Owlsports.com Athlete of the Month for January, continues to get stronger as the season progresses. A native of New Castle, Del., the Owls senior has bettered her school mark in the weight throw in all five meets she has competed in this season. She has placed first in the event in two out of the five meets, finishing third twice.
The Cherry and White return to action this Saturday, Feb. 14th, when they travel to compete in the Bucknell Winter Classic.
