PHILADELPHIA - Junior Nina Oteri of the Temple women's gymnastics team has been awarded the ECAC Women's Coaches' Choice Award for the week ending February 7th, the league office announced on Thursday.

The Northhampton. Pa. native helped the Cherry and White post its highest team score in nearly five years in the Owls' home quad meet last Wednesday against Towson, Rutgers and Bridgeport. With senior Winter Sneed out of the all-around with a concussion, Oteri stepped and finished with a 9.275 on vault, 9.200 on bars, 9.025 on beam, 9.500 on floor exercise and 37.000 in the all-around.

"Oteri is one of our hardest workers and has the willingness to push through anything," said head coach Aaron Murphy. "Not only was it her first time ever competing the all-around, but she was forced to sit out the week prior due to a hip problem."
