ITHACA, N.Y. - The Temple's women's gymnastics posted a score of a 192.625, setting a new school record and breaking the previous record of 192.40 while competing at Cornell on Saturday afternoon.
Cornell topped Temple 193.400-192.625 in the high-scoring meet.
The meet had plenty of highlights from the Owls, including a first place, season-high finish in the all-around for Katie Canning.
Senior co-captain Natasha Crawford was a couple steps behind with an all-around score of a 38.40 and a career high on bars with a 9.85.

Unfortunately, the one fall that happen was on the floor exercise by senior Nikki Berrian, who landed wrong on her last tumbling pass and injured her knee.
This did not stop the Owls' momentum and they continued to push through each and every routine, highlighting by Canning's sky high double pike earning her a 9.825 and a tie for first place on floor.
The beam team certainly brought their game faces this week and ended the meet with an event score of a 48.175, which was the Owls best event for the competition.
Nina Oteri impressed the judges with her beautiful lines and rock hard confidence to earn her the highest score of the evening for the Owls on balance beam with a 9.725.
Canning finished out the meet for the Owls on beam with a powerhouse routine which was highlighted by her one-arm back-hand spring-back layout to earn her a 9.70.
