Landry Garners Final Atlantic 10 Player Of The Week Honor

PHILADELPHIA- After leading the Temple women's basketball team to two huge wins over #13 Xavier and George Washington, senior Shenita Landry was named the Atlantic 10's Co-Player of the Week. This is the second Conference weekly honor of the year for Landry.
Landry averaged 14.5 and 6 rpg in leading Temple to two huge wins, including an upset of #13 Xavier and a crucial win over George Washington, and help the Owls clinch a #2 seed in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Tournament. The senior shot 42.1% from the field and was nearly perfect from the free throw line, making 13-of-14 for a .929 performance. In the win over Xavier, Landry had 14 points and was 4-of-4 from the free throw line. At GW, she led all scorers with 15 points, thanks to a 9-of-10 mark from the charity stripe. Landry is leading the Owls with 12.6 ppg and 9.3 rpg
Temple kicks off its post-season play on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in the 2009 Atlantic 10 Tournament against the winner of the St. Bonaventure/Saint Joseph's game.
