PHILADELPHIA - After a solid performance in this weekend's Wake Forest Invitational, Temple women's track & field standout Amanda Cole has been named A-10 Outdoor Track Co-Performer of the Week, sharing the honors with Charlotte's Lamarra Currie. The senior thrower kicked-off the outdoor season with a first place finish in the hammer throw at the Wake Forest Invitational, bettering her school record and meeting NCAA Regional qualifying marks.
Cole, an NCAA Regional qualifier last season, continues her success where she left off last season. A native of New Castle, Del., Cole threw a first-place distance of 186-7 in the hammer throw at the Wake Forest Invitational.
The Cherry and White compete next at the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener University on March 28.
