Plisko Named Atlantic 10 Golfer Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA - Temple junior Eric Plisko has been named the Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week, the league announced today. Plisko tied for second, one shot back of the individual medalist, at the First Market Bank Intercollegiate on Tuesday with an even-par 72-70=142. He helped the Owls to a fourth-place finish after placing 14th one year ago at the same event.
The finish at the William and Mary hosted event marked the second time that Plisko has tied for second in a tournament, one shot behind the leader.
Plisko also competed at the Furman Intercollegiate, shooting a 77-78=155 (+11) to place 39th. Temple tied for seventh at the event.
The junior leads the Owls with a 73.3 stroke average, with a low round of 69 this season. He has three top five finishes to his credit.
