Paris Williams Named Owlsports.com Athlete Of The Month For February

PHILADELPHIA - Women's Track & Field standout Paris Williams has been named Owlsports.com Athlete of the Month for the month of February. The sophomore sprinter nabbed the 800m title at the Atlantic 10 Championships, and received the highest individual honor when she was named A-10 Women's Indoor Track Performer of the Year.
Williams, a native of Aberdeen, MD, was the first Owl since Afia Brown in 2001 to garner such honors. She also led the 4x400m relay team to a first place finish at the A-10's, and guided the Cherry and White to a fourth place finish overall, their best since 2003.
Along with qualifying the 4x400m team for the ECAC Championships, Williams will compete for individual gold in the 400m and 500m dashes.
Williams and her fellow ECAC qualifying teammates will compete this weekend in Boston, at the ECAC/IC4A Championships March 7th and 8th.
