Cole Named To A-10 Women's Indoor Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's track standout Amanda Cole has been named to the Academic All-Conference team, the conference announced today. Cole, who has posted record setting performances in competition, boasts a 3.37 cumulative grade point average as a psychology major.
Cole most recently led the Owls to a fourth place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships, where she was a second place finisher in the weight throw (59.01.25), and took sixth in the shot put.
The senior thrower has bettered her school record five times this season, the last coming at the New Balance Collegiate Invite, where she threw an A-10 best and ECAC qualifying distance of 60-05.25. She has claimed first twice in the weight throw this season, finishing second once and third twice.
Cole and her ECAC qualifying counterparts take to action this weekend, March 7-8, at the ECAC Championships in Boston, MA.
