WEST LAFAYETTE, IN - Senior Kevin Busteed shot a 73-76=149 (+5) to lead the Temple golf team on Saturday at the Boilermaker Invitational, hosted by Purdue. Busteed is tied for 38th place in the competitive field, which features seven teams ranked in the top 100 nationally by GolfWeek. The Owls are in 14th place in the 18-team field after carding a 305-297=602 (+26).

Sophomore Andrew Mason rebounded from a first round 82 to card a three-under 69 in the afternoon. It was the third lowest round of the afternoon. He is tied for 57th (151, +7).

Junior Eric Plisko shot a consistent 76-76=152 (+8) and is tied for 61st. Sophomore Mark Edmondson recorded a 78-76=154 (+10) to tie for 72nd while senior Adam Pifer is tied for 91st with a 78-84=162 (+18) to round out the scorecard.

Penn State is atop the leaderboard with a seven-under 288-281=569, two shots better than Illinois. PSU's Kevin Foley shot a 69-66=135 (-9) to lead Iowa's Vince India by four strokes.

Play resumes on Sunday morning at the par 72, 7162-yard Kampen Course at the Brick Boilermaker Golf Complex at Purdue.
