PHILADELPHIA - For the 24th consecutive year, Temple Athletics will celebrate another successful season and help kick off summer with the Owl Club Golf Outing. This year's event, presented by Kimmel Bogrette, occurs Wednesday, June 10 at Lu Lu Country Club. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start. The event includes a full picnic lunch, open-bar cocktail hour, fabulous steak dinner, and Live and Silent Auctions.
Well over $1 million has been directed to the Temple Owl Club as a result of the past 23 years' tournaments. The Owl Club is the official fundraising arm of Temple's 24-sport intercollegiate athletics program, and provides critical operating support to all Temple sport programs in areas including recruiting, academic support, equipment, travel and student-athlete life.
"The Owl Club Golf Outing is a highlight on our yearly calendar," said Associate Athletics Director for Development Scott Koskoski. "Alumni, fans and friends are treated to a great golf course, fantastic food and fellowship, and many unique touches that keep this one of the Delaware Valley's premier golf events of its kind."
To continue attracting a large golfing field, the price of participation in the 24th Owl Club Golf Outing has not increased. Single golfers may enter for $295, foursomes for $1,180, with Silver or Gold sponsorships available (including foursomes) for $1,800 and $2,500 respectively, depending on desired benefits. While other major sponsor categories have sold out, Hole Sponsorships remain for just $100.
To ensure a smooth tournament, the playing field is capped at 144 golfers. A limited amount of golfing spots remain and can be reserved by contacting tournament coordinator Chet Zukowski at (215) 204-6912 or chetzukowski@hotmail.com.
