PHILADELPHIA - Temple Athletics is coming to a neighborhood near you!

As part of its mission of community outreach and securing broad participation among its alumni and fans, Temple Athletics announces the creation of a new tradition: The Cherry & White Caravan.

Coordinated by the Temple Owl Club and office of athletics development, the Cherry & White Caravan will debut with three regional stops: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (May 20), New York City metro (June 1), and Wilmington, Del. (June 4).

Each Caravan stop will feature head football coach Al Golden, head basketball coach Fran Dunphy, local student-athletes, and members of Temple's administration. A short program is designed to share Temple's vision, highlight opportunities to participate with Temple Athletics, answer questions, and meet alumni and fans personally.

"This is a significant time in the history of Temple Athletics, because so many positive and exciting things are happening with our program. Still, our future potential is limitless," Associate Athletics Director for Development Scott Koskoski said. "We want to be proactive and share our story with as many alumni and friends as possible, particularly those close enough to return for games and events. This year's three stops are a great first step - we'd like to double the number next year."

Visit www.MyOwlSpace.com to RSVP for these events. Family members and friends are welcome.
