Temple Track Finishes Season at NCAA East Regional

GREENSBORO, N.C. - A school record 10 members of the Temple men's and women's outdoor track and field teams participated in NCAA East Regional over the weekend.
Hot off its second-place finish at the ECAC Championship, the women's 4x400 relay team - consisting of sophomore Paris Williams, junior Carlleen Allison, senior Devon DuPont, and sophomore Tashima Stephens - took 13th in the finals in a time of 3:42.66.
In the women's 400 meter dash, Williams finished 14th in her heat with a time of 54.95. Sophomore Assata Cowart was 27th in her heat of the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:01.47.
Senior Amanda Cole advanced to the finals of the hammer throw but did not place.
In men's action, junior Grant West placed 14th in the finals of the hammer throw with a toss of 57.36 meters. Sophomore Tim Boeni advanced to the finals of the long jump, finishing 20th with a jump of 6.96 meters.
Junior Brad McFadden placed 21st in his heat of the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53:43.
Freshman Eric Brittingham qualified in the throws but did not compete due to injury.
