Buchanan, Chick Named To Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team

PHILADELPHIA - Temple junior Bailey Chick and sophomore Erin Buchanan were named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area women's crew team, it was announced today. The squad was chosen in balloting by the sports information offices of the 28 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

The pair helped the Owls to a fifth place showing at the Atlantic 10 Championship, its best since also placing fifth in 2000. Chick also sat in the 6-seat in the varsity eight at the Dad Vail Regatta, while Buchanan was the coxswain of the varsity four at Dad Vails.

Chick is a art major with a 3.72 grade point average while Buchanan owns a 3.89 GPA as a broadcast tellecommunications major.
