Men's Soccer Announces Trevor Singer As Graduate Assistant Coach

“I'm very excited about the opportunity to coach alongside such a knowledgeable and experienced coaching staff,” said Singer. “The coaching staff here is very well respected and have brought in some very talented athletes that I am looking forward to working with.”
At Maine, Singer mentored two America East All Academic team selections, fourteen America East Academic honor roll selections, a NIESL All-Star, an America East All-Rookie team player, and oversaw his 2008 squad garner the NSCAA Team Academic Award.
“Trevor already has a great deal of experience as a coach, and is very dedicated, hard working, and knowledgeable,” said MacWilliams. “He really wants to make a career out of this, and will bring a lot to the program.”
Prior to his stint at Maine, Singer was a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Massachusetts. During his coaching time he assisted in training All-America, Umbro National Player of the Year goalkeeper Zach Simmons.
As a student-athlete, Singer began his career at Rider, where he earned MAAC All-Rookie honors as a freshman, and MAAC All-Academic team honors as a sophomore. Transferring to UMass as a junior, he helped lead his team to a #22 ranking his first year. In his final year of eligibility, Singer and the Minutemen earned a #4 ranking in the nation and captured the Atlantic 10 Title, while competing to the final four of the NCAA College Cup.
Currently, the Phoenixville, Pa. native coaches the FC Delco U14 USSF Academy team on which two national pool players and one national team player participate.
The Owls are at home next weekend hosting Navy on September 18 and Albany on September 20.
